Here goes nothing. A new venture for me.

I have been a youth worker for 15 plus years and I have loved every step of it. Indeed I have two degrees in the subject. However, youth work is sorely underfunded in these economically difficult times and I have been made redundant more than once. The last time I was made redundant it seemed like the perfect opportunity to take a life long passion, being creative, and turn it into a way to make a living. I had already been selling the things I made to family, friends and colleagues and they had always encouraged me to do more.

As a child I would spend more time creating things for my dolls house than playing with it, I was always drawing and writing stories too. I have over the years developed my artistic skills in conjunction with youth work and I have delivered art based courses  and workshops to young people for years. 

I am excited to see where this road takes me. I launched in December 2017 and I have been working out the kinks since. But everything is in place now. Etsy is up and running as is a Facebook page. Accounts so forth are sorted out and I have had some small successes. It's all about the waiting game now I guess.
